Louisville will take on Kentucky in a pivotal game for both teams. The Cardinals are looking to finish off the season with an impressive 11 win season, and nothing would be a better finish than a victory over the Kentucky Wildcats. Kentucky is trying to head in the right direction as the season ends. They have lost 5 of their last 6 games and a win against a top ten Louisville team would be a good finish for Mark Stoops team.
Louisville has lost 4 in a row to the Wildcats in blowout games by at least 13 points or more. A win for the Cardinals would break a bad trend and show that Jeff Brohm is here to stay, and he will keep winning at Louisville.

The Louisville Cardinals will be favored in this game as -7.5 point favorites over the Kentucky Wildcats, and the line has broken open for Louisville as it had previously started at -4.5. Louisville is also -320 on the moneyline, and Kentucky is +260 on the moneyline.
Virginia Tech vs. Virginia, Players to Watch
Louisville Impact Players:
Louisville will have a lot of players to keep an eye on in today’s game, but the ones that are the most impactful will be Jack Plummer and Isaac Guerendo. Kentucky will likely put pressure on the offensive line and try to get to the quarterback and running backs. If Plummer can get the ball out to his receivers early and avoid big losses from the Wildcat defense then the Cards will be in a good spot.
Isaac Guerendo will also be a huge impact player for the game. Jawhar Jordan is the star running back for the team, but in recent weeks he has not been 100% healthy, and Guerendo has been carrying the load. He has played very well in the past few weeks, and if he can continue to keep the running game consistent then the Cardinals will be in a good spot.
Kentucky Impact Players:
Kentucky’s biggest impact player that will determine if they win the game or not is Devin Leary. Leary came in as an all star transfer QB from NC State, and while he hasn’t played bad, he has not lived up to his expectation at all. If Leary can throw the ball down the field then Kentucky has a good chance to won, especially with talented receivers like Barion Brown and Dane Key.
Louisville vs. Kentucky Final Game Prediction:
The battle of the bluegrass is the biggest game of the season for both of these teams this season. Yes, the Cardinals have the ACC Championship next week and Kentucky had big SEC games against Alabama and Georgia (they lost by 20+), but this game will determine bragging rights and how both teams regular season ends.
I expect Brohm to have to team very prepared for this game, as he knows how badly the fans want to beat Kentucky and how much it means to them. I believe that Jack Plummer will be able to make the right plays throughout the game, and for the defensive line to dominate the Wildcats supposed “big blue wall”.
The Cardinals will snap the Wildcats 4 game win streak over Louisville, and in the 2nd half the game will break open, as Brohm leads the Cards to the promised land in 2023.
