5. Syracuse 8-4 (6-2)
Syracuse may be a sleeper in the ACC. They have won three games in a row and won at Clemson last week. The Orange were not favored to be a contender this season, and they will not be. The talent is not this team's downfall; it is their schedule. They have four challenging games remaining on the schedule. Their last two out of three games are at Miami and Notre Dame. With that being said, it will not be a cake walk. The top teams will have to earn their win against the Orange. They should still make it to a bowl game. If they keep improving, they could make some noise next season.
4. Louisville 10-2 (6-2)
Louisville football is off to a 3-0 start, but they have yet to play a conference game. They have a very favorable conference schedule, as the first three games exposed many of their opponents, including Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Boston College. Clemson not being a contender this year may have just opened up the Cardinals' path to the ACC title game, but the Cardinals fans still have a couple of big tests that could make them miss the Championship game. They will travel to Miami in a few weeks, and that will be a massive test for Jeff Brohm and his Louisville Cardinals.
