Louisville football has already added 27 transfers this offseason via the Transfer Portal, but it is clear the Cardinals' offseason isn’t over just yet. Last night, Louisville landed Houston transfer Joshua Donald as a 3-star after not playing last season but dominating the year before at Appalachian State.
Donald started in 10 games for the Mountaineers and earned an impressive 31 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery while he was playing nose tackle. The Cardinals now will look to other areas of need as the Transfer Portal deadline approaches this evening, and the three areas that stand out from the rest are the offensive line, the secondary, and the wide receiver room.
The Cardinals' offseason already ranks as high as No. 4 in the nation by On3 Sports, but we thought it would be fun to list three transfers who would make an immediate impact for the Cardinals and would give this team a massive boost in the positions they still need, but in the long run, the Cardinals have a long shot of actually earning their commitment.
So, here are three absolute long-shot Transfer Portal targets for Louisville football.
