1. Wide Receiver
The biggest area of need for the Cardinals is the wide receiver position. With Louisville earning Kienholz’s commitment, Brohm and Deion Branch must go get him weapons to throw to. Antonio Meeks is the only returning wide receiver who earned receptions in his collegiate career, as the Cardinals have to replace a large number of receivers.
Louisville lost six of its top seven receivers from the 2025 season, including standout stars in Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy. Louisville has lost multiple receivers to the transfer portal, with TreyShun Hurry, Kris Hughes, and Bobby Golden all entering the portal, leaving Louisville with an inexperienced group of returning receivers.
Brohm has been all-in on this position group early on, though, as the Cardinals have lined up visits with multiple stars, including DeAndre Moore Jr., who is not only a top 10 transfer in the portal but a former Louisville Cardinal commit. Louisville has already had a visit with UAB transfer Iverson Hooks and has a visit lined up with Wyatt Young.
