3. Cornerback

Louisville lost multiple starters in its secondary from the 2025 season, including its cornerbacks. Louisville lost its starting cornerback, Jabari Mack, and its key backup, Rodney Johnson Jr., to graduation, but was able to keep Tayon Holloway.

The Cardinals have also added Texas transfer Santana Wilson and Kentucky transfer DJ Waller, both of whom have a ton of upside but have limited game-time experience. So, with Louisville losing multiple key pieces from last season and only adding two inexperienced corners so far, Brohm should try to add at least one more cornerback with game-time experience.

Someone Louisville recently earned a visit from is elite FCS cornerback Brycen Scott. The Elon transfer had 35 tackles and one sack while proving he can make plays on the ball with eight pass breakups. He ranks No. 678 overall and is the sixth-best cornerback still available. With it being this late in the offseason, Louisville will likely have to go to a Group of Five, FCS, or a Division II player if they want someone with a lot of experience, as the Power Four players who are still available are either freshmen or players who haven’t earned a lot of time.
