2. Kentucky

The Kentucky Wildcats paid a visit to Kinney the same night Pat Kelsey did last week. Mark Pope and Pat Kelsey made it clear Kinney is their No. 1 guy, as both made in-house visits to Kinney rather than the other 5-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. The Wildcats have been in the race for a long time, but saw a spark after their official visit in June.

Pope and the Wildcats were never able to jump the Cardinals in many experts' eyes, as the Cardinals were the dominant favorite for an extended period of time. However, Kentucky is all-in on the state's No. 2 prospect, and Louisville and the Wildcats are in a heated recruiting battle.

On3 Sports gives Kentucky the slight edge over Louisville, percentage-wise, but the Cardinals think they are a bit higher up on Kinney's rankings. Kentucky is a big-time threat to Louisville in these final two weeks, but many feel this race for the 5-star point guard is down to two schools, and the Wildcats are now on the outside looking in, forcing them to turn to Rippey.
