The No. 1 basketball prospect, Tyran Stokes, has narrowed his college choices to five schools, and great news has risen over the Louisville fan base. Louisville basketball has made Tyran Stokes’ final five, and he visited the Louisville campus last October. The Louisville native is down to his final steps in his recruiting process.
The Cardinals have noticed Stokes’ talent early on, and they were one of the first schools to offer him a scholarship. They offered him all the way back in 2022, and that has to mean something to Stokes, especially since the Cardinals are his family's favorite college team. Now that his impressive list of schools is down to five, here are the three biggest threats for Louisville to land the No.1 prospect in the nation.

3. Oregon
Oregon has emerged as one of the biggest threats to Louisville basketball to land the No.1 prospect. The Ducks are the last school to have a visit from Stokes before he cuts his list down to five. Additionally, they are considered the Nike school, and with Stokes recently signing with Nike, all signs point to Stokes going to the University of Oregon.
While the Cardinals may not be in the lead right now, that doesn’t mean things can’t change. This program is on the rise and a great landing spot for future recruits. Kelsey will have his hands full with this one, but it could be one of his most significant accomplishments as a Cardinal if he can land Stokes.
