Louisville poised for a high-scoring battle

North Carolina State is averaging 82.5 points per game in its 11 ACC contests, while Louisville is close behind at 79.4 points per game over the same span. With the total set at 161.5 (FanDuel), the over feels very much in play.

What makes NC State especially dangerous is its balance and depth. Four Wolfpack players average 13+ points per game, and nine players log at least 17 minutes per contest. Points come from everywhere in Will Wade’s rotation—and the depth allows NC State to maintain offensive pressure for 40 minutes. Wolves travel in packs, and this Wolfpack runs deep.

Louisville remains an offensive juggernaut, particularly now that Mikel Brown Jr. appears to have found his rhythm again. Excluding the Duke game, the Cards have averaged 83.5 points per game since Brown’s return from injury. He’s scored 20+ points twice in his last five games after doing so just three times in the 10 games prior to getting hurt.

With Louisville back to full strength in the backcourt and NC State’s depth creating constant matchup issues, expect points in a hurry.
