Passing game carries the load

The running game has shown signs of dominance recently, and one thing is sure, though — Miller Moss is going to sling the ball, and sling it a lot. He has thrown for more than 300 yards three times this season and may do it again this weekend.

Chris Bell has completely broken out as a future NFL draft pick and has been nothing other than unstoppable. He has been the go-to target for Moss and has delivered in a big way this season. Bell had a three-game stretch of more than 130 yards and at least one touchdown in each contest.

The receiver opposite Bell is Caullin Lacy. The speedy receiver has shown what he can do, posting 1,300 yards at South Alabama. His career with the Cardinals has not taken off the way fans hoped, with an injury last season and a slow start this year due to Bell’s emergence, but Jeff Brohm might have found a way to get both receivers going, with Lacy seeing the end zone for the first time this season against the Eagles. Look for Lacy and Bell to dominate, each going for more than 100 yards and leading the Cardinals to a victory over the Hokies.

This is just the Cards' third road game, and in the previous two, Moss had to throw the ball 51 times to beat Pitt and 37 times to beat Miami. The passing game will be involved, and Moss can stay calm, limit turnovers, and use his two stars on the outside.
