The last four games have been beyond disappointing for Louisville basketball. Teams are usually looking to peak as the calendar turns to March. Trending upward is what every coach aims for this time of year. At just 1-3 in their last four, Louisville is trending downward fast.

With two games left before it is officially tournament season, Louisville doesn’t have much time to turn things around. A late home game Tuesday night against the Syracuse Orange men's basketball should present an opportunity to right the ship. Then they travel to face the Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team, which has had one of the most surprising seasons in the ACC, sitting at 23-6 overall and 12-4 in conference play.

Louisville needs to regroup and rediscover its winning formula. They must identify what causes these losses against quality opponents and why they can’t get over the hump in tight games. In all seven of their conference losses, specific stats stand out as key contributors.
