1. DeAndre Moore Jr.
Louisville fans' No. 1 target this offseason was undoubtedly the Texas transfer DeAndre Moore Jr. Louisville football fans were doing everything in their power to recruit the 4-star transfer, but the Cards went another way after their visit with Moore and landed Tre Richardson, putting themselves out of the race. The race for Moore was between Kentucky and Colorado, and yesterday it was announced that Moore committed to the Buffaloes.
Once Louisville earned its visit from Moore, the Cardinals fans were dreaming of this elite wide receiver playing in Jeff Brohm’s explosive offense. The Texas transfer is a former 4-star recruit who initially committed to Louisville. However, he flipped his commitment to Texas six months later, and now, this offseason, Louisville fans were hoping for a full-circle moment.
We put a poll out on our social media asking who Louisville fans wanted to land as their No. 1 wide receiver, and 70.1 percent of 408 votes voted for Moore. Cardinals fans learned they didn’t get that full-circle moment when Moore committed to Colorado as the No. 19-ranked player and the fifth-best wide receiver in the Transfer Portal.
