Stefan Vaaks

The Cardinals' No. 1 dream target for their sharpshooter should be the Providence transfer Stefan Vaaks. It is a shot in the dark as Vaaks is one of the top-rated transfers in the portal, but he is perfect for Louisville’s needs.

The 6-foot-7, 206-pound shooting guard has the ability to not only splash 3-pointers and take over the game from beyond the arc, but he also has an impressive offensive bag. Vaaks can hit fadeaway jumpers, mid-range jumpers, floaters, pull up off the dribble, and back down his smaller defender.

But, this is about Louisville in need of someone shooting 3’s at a high rate. Last year, he averaged 15.8 points while shooting 40.3 percent from the field and 35 percent from beyond the arc. While his 3-point percentage is eye-popping, when watching film, Cardinals fans will see he can make contested 3s over defenders, shots from well beyond the arc, and multiple per game.

Last year, he made 91 3’s per game and averaged 2.9 3’s made per game. He is ranked No. 3 overall on the portal and No. 2 at shooting guard.
