Kwame Evans Jr.
It was reported that Louisville is a team to keep an eye on for former 5-star Jackson Shelstad, and we are going to continue the Oregon Ducks theme on this list and include Kwame Evans Jr. The Cards should look at both Oregon transfers, as Shelstad is an elite guard and a former 5-star, and Evans is a physical power forward who can take over on both ends of the floor.
Evans is also a former 5-star in the 2023 recruiting class, ranking as high as No. 15 overall and No. 4 among power forwards. The former 5-star played his first three seasons with the Ducks, but now is back in the portal after his best collegiate season.
Evans averaged 13.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field. The Cardinals need a forward who isn’t afraid to play some physical basketball in the paint, not only a threat to score on offense but also to protect the rim on defense. Evans emerges as both of those things at 6-foot-10, 220 pounds. The 4-star transfer ranks as high as No. 22 overall and No. 4 among power forwards.
