The Cardinals are creeping into the AP top 25 as they received 25 votes in the last AP poll. A dominant performance from Louisville football may propel them into the rankings if they can get some help from the rest of the nation.
Louisville got a dominant win in its season opener against Eastern Kentucky after the Cardinals put up 51 points along with 542 total yards. Sophomore Isaac Brown was absolutely electric in the game as he ran for 126 yards on just six touches. Week 2 was not as friendly to the Cardinals as week 1 was, but the Cardinals were able to earn a victory over the James Madison Dukes, who are a team that might be fighting for that Group of 5 spot in the College Football Playoffs at the end of the season.
