Louisville football added a big-time transfer yesterday from the Transfer Portal as Florida State transfer Lawayne McCoy, committed to Jeff Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals. The Cards have now added five wide receivers this offseason as McCoy joins Tre Richardson, Hardley Gilmore IV, Montavin Quisenberry, and Jackson Voth.
McCoy is a massive splash for this offense, as the elite wide receiver is a former 4-star recruit out of high school, and the Florida State transfer ranked No. 146 overall and the No. 6 athlete. He commits to Louisville as the No. 61 wide receiver in the Transfer Portal and the No. 395 overall player in the portal. The sophomore receiver logged 27 receptions for 396 yards and three touchdowns this past season, including his massive performance against Florida, where he earned 110 receiving yards and a touchdown on six receptions.
