3. Aly Khalifa

Aly Khalifa was, of course, on the roster last year but sat out due to a lingering injury from the year prior. Last season, Khalifa saw this smaller team struggle in the postseason against Creighton, where the Cardinals were outmatched in the paint. The Cardinals gave up way too many rebounds and had a hard time guarding the Bluejays' front court.

However, with a 7-foot center and his ability to playmake, Louisville fans feel much better about this upcoming season. Khalifa is in the best shape of his life after he lost 50 pounds, and the Cardinals staff has praised this big man all offseason. His ability to pass to cutting players while having a soft touch around the rim sets him up for a monster season in Louisville's backcourt.

Kahlifa is a 7-foot, 250-pound center who can shoot from beyond the arc and space the floor, while also making incredible passes. Louisville's frontcourt gains a huge piece and much-needed depth with Khalifa's return.
