Louisville basketball is set to tip off for its first regular-season game in just five days. Cardinals fans are buzzing with excitement after they say Mikel Brown Jr. and company dominated Bucknell in last night's win, splashing what would have been a program record 23 3-pointers. The season is quickly approaching, but the fans received devastating news earlier this morning about one of their biggest questions entering the season.

Louisville fans recently learned it will be without its forward, Kasean Pryor, for the Cardinals' 2025-26 season-opener. Pryor suffered a torn ACL last season against Oklahoma, which sidelined him for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season. Louisville's frontcourt missed Pryor enormously the previous year, and now this morning, it is reported they will be without Pryor to start the 2025-26 season.

Pryor's torn ACL has left fans wondering when the forward will return, and many thought he might be available for the season opener, but that was shut down this morning. It is unknown when Louisville plans to have Pryor return, but the fans do know Pryor was medically cleared. So, now that Pryror is sidelined for the season opener, the fans have to lean on this frontcourt to step up in the first game — and maybe more, depending on when he returns.

So, here are three players who must step up after Kasean Pryor's injury update.
