3. Sananda Fru

Sananda Fru is one of the most anticipated freshmen in the ACC and on the Louisville Cardinals. The 6-foot-11, 245-pound forward committed to Louisville from Germany, where he played for Löwen Braunschweig. Fru made his long-awaited debut for the Cardinals against the Kansas Jayhawks, and the fans were left a bit underwhelmed. He finished with just one point, shot 0-for-1 from the field, and didn't play as physically as they hoped. He had a better performance against Bucknell with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting, but the fans want him to be more physical in the paint and more involved on the glass.

He had just three rebounds against Kansas and two against Bucknell, and for someone with his size, the Cards need him to be more active on the glass. Without Pryor, Fru has to step up defensively and on the boards, as this Cardinals team is going to be undersized. Fru has the potential to be an All-ACC big man, but for that to happen, he must be more aggressive on both ends of the floor, especially with Pryor out.

Pryor is a defensive menace, averaging over a block and a steal per game last season for Louisville. Louisville needs to see similar production from Fru, as he won the Basketball Bundesliga's Best German Young Player award last season after averaging 12.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game, while shooting 66.8% from the floor. For Louisville to reach its full potential, Fru has to be that dominant two-way player he was overseas, and with Pryor out, his time is now.
