2. TJ Capers
Entering the offseason, many had the former 5-star commitment, TJ Capers, on their transfer watch list for Louisville. Last year, he entered his name in the portal but ultimately decided to withdraw and return to Louisville for his redshirt sophomore season. With Stanquan Clark going down with an injury for the majority of the season, Louisville fans saw Capers step up and play a significant role on this Cardinals defense.
Now, he has positioned himself to start his redshirt junior season with Clark and Antonio Watts, and many are expecting him to take that big step for the Cardinals, if he, of course, returns. Cardinals fans are hoping the former 5-star commitment stays with Louisville for the 2026 season, but until he announces or the clock strikes midnight, they will be a bit worried about his decision.
Last season, Capers earned a career high of 46 tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup for Louisville.
