No. 2: Winning the turnover margin
Louisville has made inevitable mistakes on the football field this season that could have been avoided, and these unforced errors were acceptable against teams like Bowling Green and EKU, however, against Power Four teams, they won't suffice.
Louisville had these errors against Virginia, and it cost them the game. Louisville gave up 14 points against Virginia on turnovers that led to defensive touchdowns, and that is simply something that cannot happen against Miami this week.
Suppose Louisville wants a shot against the Hurricanes that have to win the turnover battle and play a relatively clean game of football. Penalties will occur in a game, but the Cardinals must limit them and keep them below the level they have been at in recent weeks.
If Louisville can play clean football and force Miami into challenging situations by forcing turnovers, they will have a much better chance of winning this football game.
