Kanon Catchings
Sticking with the frontcourt theme, Louisville was in contact with former BYU transfer Kanon Catchings, and his length and size could be a big boost this season and during the tournament run. The Cardinals fans would have loved a player like Catchings, who was once ranked as high as No. 41 in the 2024 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward would have added height and length to Louisville’s lineup and would be a boost on the offensive end and take pressure off the Cards' backcourt. He transferred to Georgia last offseason and went on to help lead the Bulldogs to the Big Dance, starting in every game and averaging 11.6 points and 4.8 rebounds, while shooting 42.3 percent from the floor and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc.
Catchings could have been a major boost for Louisville at the power forward position, as he has the ability to take over and be an elite offensive threat.
