The Transfer Portal is set to close on Friday, January 16, so there will likely be another wave of entries soon. The Louisville football team has had a phenomenal run this offseason, as Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow have secured 26 commitments from the Transfer Portal and have also brought back five players who planned to enter the portal, including Isaac Brown, AJ Green, and Antonio Watts.

Louisville’s offseason ranks as high as No. 5 in the nation according to On3 Sports, and it is safe to say they aren’t done yet. The Cardinals still have some positions to address this offseason, and safety is near the top of the list. The Cardinals lost four of their top five defensive backs from last season, including their top four safeties in D'Angelo Hutchinson, Corey Gordon Jr., JoJo Evans, and Blake Ruffin.

Louisville has added key Iowa transfer Koen Entringer and Murray State transfer Dylan Rowsey, but outside of those two transfers, Louisville only has two other safeties on its depth chart. So, with the Cardinals likely to add at least one more safety from the portal, here are three new transfer portal entries Louisville football must target at the safety position.
