1. Javien Toviano
Someone worth taking a risk on is the LSU transfer and former high school phenom, Javien Toviano. The LSU transfer was a former 4-star recruit out of high school and ranked as high as No. 59 in the 2023 recruiting class and was the fifth-best safety in the nation. He ended his high school season with 105 tackles, 19 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and three interceptions.
With his high school resume, he probably will get looks from many Power Four programs, but with the Cardinals in dire need of a safety and Toviano trying to get starters' reps, the two might be a good fit. The 6-foot, 185-pound safety started in four games and played in 38 games for the LSU Tigers. In his three seasons, he finished with 50 tackles, one pass breakup, and a forced fumble.
Looking to make a jump and be a key piece on the defensive side of the ball, the former consensus 4-star recruit is ranked No. 607 overall and 56th among safeties. He ranks as the fourth-best safety available and could be a solid option for the Cardinals to take a shot on and to add for depth.
