DeSean Goode
DeSean Goode is a name we have brought up a few times now, and the Robert Morris transfer is a perfect replacement for J’Vonne Hadley. The 4-star transfer is a physical forward who likes to slash to the paint and back his defenders down at 6-foot-8, 230-pounds.
The Cardinals needed some height and size in their frontcourt last year, as they were often undersized and outmatched in the paint on both ends of the floor. Goode fits Kelsey’s style of play in many ways, and when watching his film, Louisville fans will see someone who attacks the rim and can also shoot from beyond the arc.
He isn’t known for his 3-point shooting, but if Louisville has to space the floor, he is someone who the defense can’t just leave alone, as last year he made 36 3’s on 57.1 percent shooting. He ended the year averaging 15.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Goode ranks No. 28 overall and No. 8 among power forwards.
