2. Taylen Kinney

Louisville is the favorite to land Taylen Kinney, and it would be a massive grab by Kelsey as the 5-star point guard is a Kentucky native. This is a clear top target for the Cardinals, and if they can secure his commitment over the Kentucky Wildcats, it is clear that the Cardinals are emerging as a top landing destination.

The battle for Kinney is between Louisville and Kentucky, and with the Wildcats appearing to be all-in on Jason Crowe Jr., the Cards have since taken the lead. Louisville loves to pursue in-state targets, and while Kinney is ranked from Georgia, he was born and raised in Newport, Ky.

Kinney is ranked as high as No. 11 in the nation and the No. 1 point guard in the 2026 class. Kelsey has made an immediate impact at Louisville, bringing in elite point guards such as Chucky Hepburn and landing 5-star Mikel Brown Jr.

It is clear Brown is going to be a lottery pick and a top 10 NBA Draft pick, so Kelsey must go grab a point guard from the 2026 class, and if would just be a dream to land the No. 1 point guard for the second straight year, and him being a Kentucky native is the cherry on top.
