3. Louisville has to take care of the ball
Turnovers can change the tide of any game, and when one game can end your whole season, the last thing you can afford is to give the ball away. Louisville has struggled with that at times this year, averaging 11.6 turnovers per game.Â
This ranks the Cardinals 194th in the nation in turnovers per game, and with only 68 teams in the big dance, this cannot continue. These turnovers lead to opponents scoring points off turnovers, and ultimately lead to disaster.Â
This was seen in Louisville’s ACC Tournament loss, when Miami had 17 points off the Cardinals’ 13 turnovers. The Cardinals must fix tiny mistakes if they want to make a tournament run, and that will start with turnovers.
