3. Wyatt Young
The first target Louisville struck out on this offseason was the North Texas transfer, Wyatt Young. The Cardinals were one of the few teams to earn a visit from the North Texas transfer, but after his visit to Oklahoma State, no one else did. Oklahoma State hired North Texas' former coach, Eric Morris, and now, this offseason, the Pokes have ripped off 16 transfers from the Mean Green, including Young and 5-star transfer quarterback Drew Mestemaker.
Young is ranked No. 11 among wide receivers in the Transfer Portal and No. 44 overall. The consensus 4-star transfer was ranked as high as No. 6 in the wide receiver position and No. 30 overall at the time he committed to Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver earned 70 catches for 1,264 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns.
Since Louisville struck out on Young, they have landed five receivers in the portal, including Tre Richardson, who ranks as the No. 14 wide receiver and the No. 59 transfer overall.
