3. Interior Offensive Linemen
On Saturday, April 12, it was reported that the Cardinals are expected to lose one of their starters on the offensive front, Austin Collins. This is a massive loss for Brohm and his Cardinals, as Collins is 6-foot-3, 300 pounds, and an absolute force on that offensive line.
The Cardinals will be a run-dominant offense next year, and in the Spring Game, that front showed they missed Collins and struggled mightily for most of the game. Collins will be hard to replace, as he had the highest PFF pass-blocking grade of 85.1. A significant reason for that is that he gave up zero sacks and just eight pressures on 311 pass-blocking snaps.
The Cardinals front is expected to be one of the better rooms for this team. Still, with Collins leaving, Louisville should target interior offensive linemen who can come in and be that difference maker in this rushing attack. Louisville could use someone who also provides time for Moss and allows the receivers to get open; as Moss showed in the Spring Game, he can get rattled under pressure sometimes.
This isn't the most significant need for the Cardinals, but with Collins leaving, Louisville should try and go after a veteran lineman who can be reliable and start next season.
