Irish glaring kryptonite

Louisville Cardinals have had the Irish numbers in recent years, and specifically at KFC Yum! Center. Cardinals have won four of the last five on their home court and won six of the last 10 overall. Cardinals seem to be the Irish glaring kryptonite, especially in the city of Louisville. UofL also has won eight of the last 12 and 10 of the last 16. They won six straight from 2019-2022.

Jeff Walz seems to have Niele Ivey and her staff as of recent and look to keep the streak alive.

Walz complete domination at home

Jeff Walz and his Cardinals squads have been one of the best teams playing at home in the past decade. Walz had led his Louisville basketball teams to have an absolutely astounding home record in the past 10 years of 134-13. The best year came in 2021-2022 when the Cardinals went 17-0 at KFC Yum! Center.

Cardinals elite back court duo

Jeff Walz squad this year is led by his backcourt in Tajianna Roberts and Jayda Curry. Roberts is averaging around 13 points a game on 42% from the field, and Curry averages nearly 12 points a game and leads the team with 34 threes. Roberts and Curry combine have 77 threes this season, where the rest of the team only has 54.

This dynamic duo backcourt has been almost unstoppable all season long and looks to come up big for the Cardinals on Sunday.

The Cardinals and Irish will collide on Sunday at the KFC Yum! Center for the annual Pink Game, and it is set for a 12 p.m. ET tipoff and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
