Khani Rooths

Immediately, once the season ended, the biggest name on transfer watch for the Louisville Cardinals is Khani Rooths. The former unanimous 4-star recruit was a top-40 recruit in the 2024 class but hasn’t played consistently, which might be why he ends up transferring.

The 6-foot-10, 215-pound forward took a small step this season, averaging 5.3 points and 4.3 rebounds, while shooting 45 percent from the field and 22.4 percent from beyond the arc, but fans were hoping for a bigger leap. It is hard to imagine Rooths coming off the bench for the third straight season, and if Louisville targets some power forwards in the portal, he is likely gone and will enter the Transfer Portal.

The true sophomore has a lot of potential and can be the star many were hoping for when he committed to Louisville. He has the path to start with J’Vonne Hadley gone, but it will be interesting to see on April 7 if he plans to return or will enter the Transfer Portal.
