3. WR Lawayne McCoy (Florida State)
The Cardinals' offense has incredibly high expectations for next year, and a big reason is their additions. The Cardinals had five 4-star commitments from the Transfer Portal, and two of them were wide receivers. Last year, Tre Richardson proved that he can be an elite WR1 in college football, and now this season, the Cardinals need Lawayne McCoy to take a big step and prove he can be that elite WR2 for Lincoln Kienholz.
The Cardinals need more than just Richardson on the outside, and McCoy is expected to take that step this offseason. Last year, the Florida State transfer caught 27 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns. He transferred to Louisville with high expectations, as he was their third-largest addition this offseason, ranking No. 86 overall and No. 20 among wide receivers.
After losing Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy last season, the Cardinals need Richardson and McCoy to take over this wide receiver room fast. McCoy has the potential and the skill, but now, this spring is crucial for his career and Louisville's offense.
