Louisville makes 4-star recruits top 12
Cunningham is one of the top defensive recruits in this 2027 class, earning over 49 offers, meaning Louisville beat out powerhouse programs like Miami, Ohio State, and their in-state rival, Kentucky.
The Cards will now try to earn a visit from the 4-star recruit and keep climbing up his rankings. Cunningham is ranked as high as No. 370 in the nation, No. 30 edge rusher, and No. 41 recruit out of Georgia. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound 4-star recruit is from Loganville, Georgia, where he attends Grayson High School.
Louisville extended its offer in April of 2025, but Florida State recently earned the first unofficial visit, according to the 247Sports timeline. The Cards and Seminoles are the only ACC teams in this final 12 of 4-star recruits, as they are set to face SEC giants for the most part. The spring and summer are crucial recruiting months, and with him finishing up his junior season, he will likely try to commit before his final season starts.
Louisville has already earned two commitments in the 2027 class with 4-star quarterback Jack Sorgi and 4-star wide receiver Chuck Alexander. Louisville's 2027 class currently ranks No. 24 in the nation according to 247Sports.
