Louisville football just learned they will compete in the Boca Raton Bowl against Toledo on Tuesday, Dec. 23. The Cardinals finished the regular season 8-4 and are coming off a dominant 41-0 victory over their in-state rival, the Kentucky Wildcats.
Louisville has had quite a roller coaster of a season, plagued by injuries, including star running backs Issac Brown, Duke Watson, and Keyjuan Brown. One position the fans need to see improvement in next season is the quarterback. While some fans want to turn to redshirt freshman Deuce Adams and give him a shot, others are claiming they have to go back to the portal for the fourth straight season.
With the regular season concluding, many lower-major schools and FCS programs are seeing their players enter the Transfer Portal. And recently, an under-the-radar quarterback entered the portal, and the Cards should go after him immediatley.
Latest 4-star transfer QB is the perfect target for Jeff Brohm
Old Dominion's Colton Joseph reportedly plans to enter the Transfer Portal, and he would be a huge splash for the Cards. The star quarterback has thrown for a combined 4,251 yards and 32 touchdowns, while adding 1,654 rushing yards and 24 rushing touchdowns.

He is immediatley one of the top targets in the Transfer Portal and one of the best quarterbacks listed. He is ranked as a 4-star transfer by On3 Sports after his dominant season for the Monarchs. The Cardinals fans are begging for an elite quarterback whom Brohm can develop and keep for more than one season, and with Joseph being a sophomore who has already made a name for himself, he is the perfect target.
Last year, he threw for 2,624 yards and 21 touchdowns, posting a QB rating of 152.7. He also added 1,007 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns and led Old Dominion to a 9-3 season.
Brohm has gone to the portal in all three seasons during his tenure at Louisville, so it would make sense for him to target Joseph. Now, Josephy is going to be a top target for many Power Four programs, but Brohm has shown he loves his portal quarterbacks, and after Miller Moss underperformed, the fans are hoping for a big-time splash.
Joseph passes the eye test and is a sophomore who can develop into Louisville's starter for multiple years. He is the perfect target that the fans are looking for, while also being one of the best quarterbacks in the portal. A quarterback will likely come to Louisville from the Transfer Portal, and Joseph should immediatley be Brohm's top target.
