5. Find a consistent inside scorer
Louisville doesn’t just favor the three-point shot—they actively pass up quality two-point opportunities to take threes. To their credit, it has worked so far, as they rank second nationally with 12.6 made threes per game. However, they rank 250th nationally in two-point scoring, averaging just 34 points per game from inside the arc.
That approach works when outside shots are falling consistently. When they aren’t, Louisville has struggled, especially against more physical teams. Both Arkansas and Tennessee controlled the paint and wore the Cards down inside.
If Louisville wants a more balanced and reliable offense, they need a steady interior presence. Whether it’s Fru or Aly Khalifa, getting consistent production inside would help stabilize the offense and prevent prolonged scoring droughts during ACC play.
