Louisville football is gearing up for a road game against Virginia Tech on Saturday. As the season is raging on, every game is now a must-win for the Cardinals to keep their ACC championship hopes alive. That said, the Cardinals can’t focus on other teams' outcomes; they can only control their own future. That starts this week with 3-5 Virginia Tech, which is almost the definition of a trap game.
Louisville comes into this matchup ranked No.16 and fresh off a win against Boston College, which was a little too close for comfort. Now, the Cardinals must go into a hostile environment against a Virginia Tech team that is just trying to cause more shakeup in the ACC.

5. How will Louisville play on the road?
Louisville is currently 2-0 on the road with wins at Pittsburgh and Miami. In both of these matchups, the Cardinals played impressively. Against Pittsburgh, Miller Moss had 339 passing yards and threw for three touchdowns. The Cardinal defense also caused five turnovers, propelling it past a Pittsburgh team that has lost only one ACC game, to Louisville.
The next road game Louisville played was at Miami, which at the time was ranked No. 2. Moss again had a good game, throwing two touchdown passes, but it was the defense that came up big, forcing Miami quarterback Carson Beck to throw four interceptions.
On the other hand, Virginia Tech is 2-4 at home, having lost to South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Old Dominion, and Wake Forest. The Hokies have had a rough time hanging on to home-field advantage, but the Cardinals can’t take them for granted. Hokies fans know how to make the stadium wild. Louisville can expect it will be in for a battle Saturday afternoon.
