3. Louisville basketball earns double-bye in ACC Tournament
Louisville basketball will finish the regular season 25-6 and its ACC schedule 14-4, putting them at the No. 3 seed for the ACC Tournament. The Cardinals will fall behind Duke, the No. 1 seed, and Virginia, the No. 2 seed, and then the Cards will be the No. 3 seed, followed by Clemson, the No. 4 seed.
This is huge for the Cardinals' path to the ACC Tournament Championship game, as it means they have to win just three games to win their first ACC Title, or just two to return to the second consecutive ACC Championship game. As of today, Louisville sits as the No. 7 seed, but with us predicting the Cardinals to go undefeated the rest of the regular season, they will jump Miami, UNC, and Clemson.
The Cards' remaining schedule isn’t easy, but it puts them in a position to move up in these standings. The Cardinals' four road games will have huge implications, but with Louisville playing its best basketball, we see the Cardinals finishing in the coveted top four and earning a double-bye in the ACC Tournament.
