Lastly, the No. 1 Cardinal who will likely be most affected by Isaac Brown's return is walk-on freshman Braxton Jennings. The Cardinals' freshman running back proved he has what it takes to be a solid backup running back somewhere, but with Brown returning and hopefully Keyjuan returning, Jennings will be at best the 3rd string running back.

Louisville has also been in contact with some transfer running backs, as it recently hosted UConn transfer Cam Edwards for a visit. So if Louisville adds a running back from the portal, Jennings will drop further down the list. Jennings showed his skills last season after he won the Howard Schnellenberger MVP in the Cardinals' 41-0 win over Kentucky in the Governor's Cup.

Jennings went on to be the first walk-on in Louisville Cardinals history to rush over 100 yards after he earned 20 carries for 113 rushing yards. In his freshman season, he earned a total of 37 carries for 200 rushing yards and one touchdown. After an impressive season of averaging 5.4 yards per carry, the walk-on emerges as the latest Cardinal on transfer watch.
