3. J'Vonne Hadley
J’Vonne Hadley is another Cardinal player who will have his hands full on Tuesday night. Hadley’s large 6-foot-7 frame will have him guarding players like Boozer in the two teams’ bout, and the senior must come ready to play. Hadley is also one of the Cardinals’ better rebounders, as he is averaging 5.5 rebounds per game. He will have to make sure his dominance is felt so that the Blue Devils aren’t able to get any extra possessions with offensive rebounds.
Hadley is only averaging a little over 10 points for the Cardinals, but he is doing so efficiently on 54.8% shooting. However, the Cardinals will need something extra from Hadley on Tuesday night now that Brown Jr. is still out. He doesn't need to be the leading scorer, but he must put his efficient scoring to the test and see how far it can take him. Hadley isn’t the flashiest player on the roster, but the Cardinals don’t need flashy to win.
If Hadley can put his head down and do the gritty work for Louisville, the Cardinals have a real shot at proving they can hang with the best in the ACC.
