2. Protect Miller Moss

The California Golden Bears may not have the best record this season, but their defense has been very disruptive. Leading the unit is linebacker Cade Uluave, who has 81 total tackles this year as well as three sacks. The Golden Bears have managed to find and sack opposing quarterbacks 15 times this season. California’s sack leader is linebacker T.J. Bush Jr., who has four this season.

It will be crucial for the Cardinal offensive line to prepare for the task at hand and protect quarterback Miller Moss. Moss has been sacked 16 times this year for a total of 124 lost yards. These big plays can turn the tide of close games and allow inferior opponents to stay in the game longer than they should.

Knowing blocking assignments and where each California defender is on the field will be crucial for the Cardinals' success. If Moss is free to play his game and isn’t worried about pressure, the Cardinals will be just fine.
