3. Lack of 3-point shooting from Kentucky

Kentucky basketball has one of the best backcourts in the nation, led by Otega Oweh. That said, the Wildcats have struggled with 3-point shooting, and that could come back to haunt them. If the Cardinals’ shooters get hot, it could be a long night for the Wildcats.

They have gone 18 for 55 from 3-point range in their last two games, including just seven made threes in their most recent contest. The team is still building chemistry, but so are the Cards. It will be difficult for the Wildcats to keep up with the number of threes the Cardinals will put up and make, as Louisville has shown they are going to live and die from the 3-ball. Collin Chandler and Jasper Johnson will be two names that Louisville basketball will have to contain and run off the line.

With the potential physical nature of this matchup, there will be numerous tough shots from the Wildcats. Over the past two games, they have not consistently demonstrated the ability to hit those difficult shots. The number of threes from the Wildcats will be a key point to watch throughout the ballgame.
