1. Home crowd advantage
This is just the third game of the season, but Louisville basketball fans are here to say this is the biggest game of the entire season. The Cardinals are 2-8 in their last 10 games against the Wildcats, but this is a new team, though, and none of that matters to this group of guys. Many believe this is the year Louisville snaps its three-game losing streak, especially with the game being at home.
This is bigger than a game for both programs and fan bases, and with Louisville fired up for this rivalry game, it certainly feels like they have an edge over Kentucky heading into tonight's game. A lot of brand-new faces will be introduced to this rivalry, but none more critical than freshman sensation Mikel Brown Jr. The Wildcats may have gotten the best of the Cardinals in recent memory, but if anyone can change that narrative, it’s Brown. The 5-star freshman has been looking forward to this game since he committed and is on record saying this is the game he circled on his calendar.
The Louisville basketball faithful will be on the edge of their seats, fueled by pure love for the Cardinals and disdain for the Wildcats. Louisville is favored by 4.5 points, and with them playing in front of their fans, and with their ability to go on runs and knock down the 3-ball, the fans certainly feel confident that Louisville will get the win over Kentucky tonight.
