3. Louisville's miscues must be fixed immediately

Louisville continues to bite itself in the foot with dumb mistakes. The Cardinals' turnovers and penalties are an area of concern that fans and head coach Jeff Brohm have expressed must be addressed.

Today, Louisville's defense put on an absolute clinic, holding the Cavaliers to just 237 total yards, but the offense gave up two touchdowns. In the first half, Louisville went for it on 4th and one from Virginia's 37-yard line, but with an Isaac Brown and Miller Moss miscue and a fumble, the Cavaliers returned it for a touchdown. Then, in the second half of the third quarter, Moss was seen trying to do too much under pressure again and threw a costly interception that Virginia returned for another touchdown.

Louisville was able to force overtime, but a missed 42-yard field goal in the second quarter is something fans will also look back on that cost them this game. This team drops its first game of the 2025 season, and the self-inflicted wounds are the glaring reason for the loss and what is holding this team back.
