Miller Moss's gritty performance comes up short

Miller Moss once again struggles when the defense provides pressure, but he tried to deliver when the Cardinals need him to. Moss got off to a hot start as he threw 22 of 27 for 204 yards and a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the first half. However, the USC transfer must improve when the defense provides pressure, as he made some costly mistakes in this game.

Of course, the one that everyone will be talking about is the pick six, which marks his third interception this season that resulted in a pick six for the opposing team. On the next drive, he got lucky after the Cavaliers provided pressure, and he threw another bad ball that should have been intercepted, but was luckily dropped. Later in the game, he took a 14-yard sack at the worst time and put Louisville in a long third-down situation, right before the two-minute warning.

However, pressure makes diamonds, and the Cardinals quarterback is gritty. The next play after a 15-yard sack, he delivered a 33-yard strike that led to a 50-yard field goal that forced overtime. Moss threw for 300 yards in the third straight game and was able to deliver when it mattered most. However, his comeback comes up just short in overtime.

After dropping this game to the Cavaliers, Louisville has just a five percent chance of returning to the ACC Championship game, according to ESPN. If Louisville wants to shock the nation and upset Miami, and make a run the rest of the way, Moss has to be better under pressure.
