1. Louisville's backcourt shines

The Cardinals' backcourt this season is going to carry a huge load. While the fans expected that, the Cardinals haven't had much production from the bigs through two preseason games. Louisville's backcourt proved last night that it can live up to its high potential, and it can dominate from beyond the arc.

Brown Jr., Conwell, and McKneely finished with a combined 61 of Louisville's 99 points. All three were able to shoot lights out and live up to their expectations from the offseason, with all splashing at least four 3-pointers and all shooting above 57 percent from downtown. Louisville fans saw Brown Jr. more controlled, and Conwell weaving through the lane but not forcing up as many shots. The shot selection by this group was much better, and gave the fans much more confidence heading into the regular season.

This backcourt still has areas to grow, as Adrian Wooley has struggled through two games, but the big three are beginning to gel and show why they are considered the best backcourt in the nation.
