Louisville football learned yesterday that it earned its first commitment as DJ Waller committed to Louisville from Kentucky. The former Wildcat was once a Michigan commitment who went on to win the 2023 National Championship with the Wolverines. He then transferred to the Cats after that lone season at Michigan and was a key piece of the Wildcats' secondary.
Waller is ranked No. 480 in the Transfer Portal after his two seasons with Kentucky and is expected to be a key piece for Louisville in 2026. He played just two seasons in 2025 due to an injury, but is fully healthy and is ready for his next chapter with the Cardinals. He stated that in six of the nine games he played, he recorded 14 tackles and three pass deflections over two seasons.
Now that Louisville has one of the best transfer classes early in the portal window, and the Cardinals have already earned a Kentucky transfer commitment, we wanted to list five more Kentucky transfers Louisville might steal from the Wildcats.
So, here are five Kentucky transfers that could follow DJ Waller to Jeff Brohm and Louisville football.
