3. Jacob Smith - Edge
Jacob Smith took a visit to Louisville not too long ago, and the Cards fans definitely took notice. The former 4-star recruit out of high school hasn’t gotten many chances or opportunities on the football field, but with Louisville needing plenty of depth at defensive line, he is another good option.
The redshirt sophomore can play both outside linebacker and edge rusher at 6-foot-4, 240 pounds. He played in just four games in his sophomore season and has logged two tackles in his collegiate career. With Marrow earning his commitment out of high school, expect Marrow and the Cardinals to be heavily involved in his transfer recruiting process.
Smith was a 4-star recruit out of high school who ranked No. 97 in the 2024 recruiting class and the 18th best edge rusher. He is from Corbin, Kentucky, and is now back in the portal, ranked No. 329 and the 37th-best edge rusher.
