5. Adrian Wooley

The Cardinals hit the Transfer Portal hard, and the first transfer to commit to Pat Kelsey and the Louisville Cardinals was 5-star transfer Adrian Wooley. The Kennesaw State transfer had one of the best true freshman seasons last year and was ranked as high as No. 9 in the Transfer Portal.

Wooley is part of this Cardinals' dominant backcourt, and he will have a challenging road to start, but at some point in this season, the 5-star is going to start. He is one of the best playmakers in college basketball, having averaged 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game last year. He is a dominant two-way player who will be an athletic defender who can cause problems on defense, while also being able to shoot from beyond the arc on the other side of the court.

Wooley splashed 73 3-pointers last season while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 42.2 percent from downtown. He is coming off winning the Conference USA Freshman of the Year award and will have a path to starting this upcoming season.
