3. Khani Rooths
Khani Rooths is a big name fans are going to keep a close eye on, but for right now, he hasn’t entered the portal, so we're going to put him on this list. The Cardinals were undersized and outmatched in their frontcourt against ranked teams, and if Louisville wants to compete next season, Rooths must take a big jump.
4 Louisville Cardinals on Transfer Watch after NCAA Tournament exit
The former 4-star commitment showed a lot of promise this past season, like when he posted back-to-back double-doubles with 12 points and 10 rebounds against SMU and 12 points and 12 rebounds against Notre Dame. But he ended the season on a rough patch, scoring just five points in the NCAA Tournament and scoring just nine points in an eight-game stretch before the end of the regular season.
The 6-foot-10, 215-pound forward has the potential to be a big piece of the Cardinals' offense and defense next season, but he has to be more consistent and also needs consistent minutes. If Rooths is back with the Cardinals, Louisville fans should expect Rooths to take that leap and to be a big part of Kelsey’s team.
