3. Louisville looks to land 5-star recruit
The No. 4 overall recruit in the class of 2025 recently delayed his commitment, and both Tennessee and Louisville are in Nate Ament's final five schools. The Cardinals were reported to be in the lead for Ament over a month ago, but then, on April 1, it was reported that Duke and Arkansas took over.
While no new report has come out, it is clear that the Cardinals' offseason is a massive pitch for Ament to join the Louisville basketball program. Kelsey has had the best offseason so far, and has now landed two 4-stars and a 5-star and will bring in the unanimous No. 1 point guard in the class of 2025, Mikel Brown Jr. This week is becoming a glaring reason why Ament should come commit to Louisville as he is the missing puzzle piece. Louisville has every piece filled except an elite power forward who can space out the floor. Ament is the perfect player for the Cardinal's power forward spot, and hopefully, after their massive week, Ament will start to reconsider the Louisville Cardinals.
Ament averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, and 3.7 assists per game, as the power forward out of Virginia is the second-best forward in the class of 2025.
