The Cardinals will need an extra boost from beyond the arc if they want to run away with Tuesday night’s game, and that starts with Conwell. In his first two games this season, the senior is shooting a respectable 41.7% from three-point range. In the last game against Jackson State, Conwell hit four threes, which was a team high.

Conwell has been able to score in other ways besides beyond the arc. He’s shot a combined 14 free throws in his first two free throws and has made 12 of them. In times of dry shooting, Conwell’s ability to get to the free-throw line could help the Cardinals make up points where they would otherwise lose them.

Conwell’s ability to shoot the ball allows Louisville to go on scoring runs that could lift them over the Wildcats. If this is the case Tuesday night, it will be hard for Kentucky to claw its way back.
